Fushimi Inari-Taisha, Kyoto, Japan

Situated in Kyoto, Fushimi Inari-Taisha is the head shrine of Inari, patron of business, having around 32000 sub-shrine across all Japan. A path of 4 km goes to the top of the Inari mountain, covered by around 10000 torii gates like the ones on the photo. This is a beautiful place to visit, very peaceful. You climb the mountain in the middle of the forest, with different lakes and rivers next to you. A place I’ll definitely go again!

This shot was taken at sunset, with a fairly low level of light. Hopefully, the Canon 6D’s quality in high ISO helped a lot!

The photo was first processed in Adobe Lightroom, then enhanced with Nik Collection Color Efex Pro to get some details back, and emphasis on the sunset’s glow.
